EVALUATION OF HYPOGLYCEMIC ACTIVITY OF ABELMOSCHUS ESCULENTUS AND CACTACEAE EXTRACT IN STREPTOZOTOCIN INDUCE DIABETIC TARS

ABSTRACT
The current study is an effort to examine the effect of cactus and Lady finger extract on streptozotocin produce diabetes in Wistar rats. Two groups of streptozotocin persuaded diabetic mice were orally cured cactus and Lady finger extract (100mg/kg) respectively. The blood sugar level, body mass, Glycosylated hemoglobin, Antioxidant status were measured at the finish of the study that is after 28 days of treatment. cactus and Lady finger extract are originate to be substantial (p < 0.01) in dropping the blood glucose level, effect of cactus and lady finger extract on feed consumption, antioxidant assay, hematological, biochemical parameters, histopathology, while both the cures improved body mass, liver glycogen satisfied position once compared to the diabetic control. It have been concluded that cactus and Lady finger extract, in adding to the antidiabetic activity in the streptozotocin induced diabetic model.
