SYNTHESIS OF SULFONAMIDES CONTAINING PYRROLE AND IMIDAZO[2,1-b][1,3,4]THIADIAZOLE MOIETIES AS ANTICANCER AGENTS

ABSTRACT

Series of sulfonamides containing pyrrole and imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole moieties were synthesized. The in vitro cytotoxicity of these compounds was evaluated against MCF-7. The tested compounds showed moderate to good cytotoxic activities to doxorubicin (IC50= 0.82 μM) with IC50 ranges1.23-5.01 μM. the compound 4a was the best one among the series with IC50 value of 1.23 μM.
