SYNTHESIS AND MOLECULAR MODELLING STUDY OF SOME CHROMENO [4', 3':4, 5] THIENO [2, 3-D] PYRIMIDINE DERIVATIVES AS ANTICANCER AGENTS

ABSTRACT
A series of chromeno[4',3':4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives was designed and synthesized as erlotinib analogues. The new compounds were screened for their cytotoxic activity against breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Compounds 5b, 5d and 5f showed good cytotoxic activity with IC50 values of 1.22, 1.42 and 1.67 μM respectively.
