Abstract

HOUR GLASS STOMACH

ABSTRACT

Shape and position of the stomach has many variations normally. However some of its rare shapes may result in the clinical pathologies like gastric ulcers. Change in shapes of the stomach may be congenital or acquired. Here an atypical form of hourglass stomach is reported. The stomach in the present case exhibited one distinct notch in the centre. This variation is possibly of congenital origin and may lead to radiological misinterpretations.
