STANDARDIZATION OF SIDDHA HERBO MINERAL FORMULATION GANDHAGA CHENDHOORAM

ABSTRACT

Siddha system of medicine is otherwise known as Tamil maruthuvam. This type of traditional system Originated from Tamilnadu. Chendhooram is one kind of internal medicine preparation in Siddha system. Gandhaga chendhooram is the valuable herbo mineral formulation mentioned in the classical Siddha literature Anuboga Vaithiya Navaneetham; it used to treat the various illness conditions in human beings. The aim of the present study GC was analyzed by various instrumental analyses like SEM, ICP MS and XRD. Instrument analysis is also the important factor in standardization method. In the present study GC was analyzed by instrumental studies such as ICP MS, SEM and XRD. Through ICP MS detection of heavy metals like lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Arsenic present in the below detective level which ensure the safety of the trial drug GC. SEM result reveals the nanoparticles which present in the 500X magnification via 20μm and 1μm aperture shows maximum depth focused. SEM identifies the nanoparticles in the trail drug GC, presence of nanoparticle increase the drug absorption. A result of XRD shows crystalline nature of the GC.
