GENETIC MUTATION INDUCED DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS: CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Deep vein thrombosis is a condition that is characterized by the presence of blood clot on the deep veins and if untreated can lead to life threatening conditions. Here we report a case of 42 year old male patient who was admitted at the hospital because of severe pain on his left limb. He was then diagnosed to be having deep vein thrombosis due to genetic mutation of methylenetetrahydrofolate gene, leading to hyperhomocysteinemia.
