MANAGEMENT OF FILAMENTARY KERATOPATHY AND CORNEAL ULCER W.S.R. SAVRAN SHUKALA WITH JALAUKAVCHARAN AND ASHCHYOTAN. A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Many systemic diseases manifest as or cause ophthalmic complications. In such conditions apart from treatment of causative disease, local management of ophthalmic condition is necessary. Now days Change in life style, dietary habits and polluted environment have increased the chances of various diseases leading to eye problems. The peoples suffering systematic disorders like Diabetic mellitus, Hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis etc are more prone to manifest the ocular diseases. The present article deals with the case of filamentary keratopathy and Corneal ulcer (Savran Shukla). Acharya Sushruta and Vagbhatta have described pathogenesis, clinical features, prognosis and treatment of Savrana shukla. Jalukavcharan and Aschyotan treatment were given to the patient which resulted in improvement.
