Siberia is a vast, frigid region of Russia covering most of northern Asia, stretching from the Ural Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, known for its extreme cold, sparse population, diverse landscapes (taiga, tundra, mountains), and immense natural resources, with major cities like Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Krasnoyarsk. Famous for the Trans-Siberian Railway and Lake Baikal, it's a land of harsh beauty, indigenous cultures, and unique wildlife, despite its challenging climate and European-influenced Russian culture.
