A PHARMACO-CLINICAL STUDY OF MAJUPHAL AND KANKOL W.S.R. TO THEIR EFFECT ON SHWETA PRADAR

ABSTRACT
The study was conducted on total 60 patients, in which 52 patients have completed the treatment. It is a comparative randomized clinical study of Majuphala and Kankola churna on Shweta pradar disease. Leucorrhoea occurs commonly among weak and anemic women. Among young female it may be due to threadworm, inflammation of the womb following childbirth, as the result of general debility combined with lack of cleanliness or infections and also liable to cause much mental stress, problem of sexual anxiety and even sometimes failure to conceive. Majuphala is expected to disintegrate the pathogenesis of shwetapradar due to its Kashaya Rasa, Laghu, Ruksha Guna, Sheeta Virya and Katu vipaka. Further, it has Kapha Pitta Shamaka, and Stambhaka properties. Kankola has been widely used in mukh rogas, yonigata roga, kapha vata har agnimandya, daurgandhahar. Conclusion of study found that Majuphal showed better percentage of relief on some DLC parameter as compared to Kankol.
