ABSTRACT
Research started in February 8th to May 8th 2020 in research location Cow Cattle of Metinaro, Dili Timor Leste aimed to find out the weight change and cow condition score of Ongole Breed (PO) of mother who received rice straw basalt woof and different leguminosa treatment. Material used were 20 mother cows of Ongole Breed with initial weight 308,25 ± 38,36 kg age I 3 – I 4. the cattles grouped into four treatments in woof treatment, they were R0 = rice straw (ad-libitum) R1 rice straw (ad libitum) + (Gliricidia and leucaena 0,25 % weight (according BK) R2 rice straw (ad libitum) + (Gliricidia and leucaena 0,5% weight (according BK) R3 rice straw (ad libitum) + (Gliricidia and leucaena 1,0 % weight (according BK) so that in every treatment there were five cattles as repeatment. Variables observed were weight and condition score, statistical test used was complete random design (RAL). Research showed that initial mother cow’s weight were in average 308,25 ± 38,36 kg while the final weight were 326 to 314 kg weight change among each treatment has no real differences ( P>0,05). Initial Cow condition scores (BCS) was 2,6 ± 0,32, while final treatment found condition score 2,98 to 3 and each treatment had real difference. There was positive linear relation between weight and body condition. Highest Determination coefficient (R2 = 0,94) resulted in R3 treatment and resulted regression line equation Y = 248,85 + 25,45 X. From the research, there could be concluded that 1% leguminosa addition in straw woof able to maintain weight and condition score. There suggested additional woof consisted of gliricidia and leucaena more than 1.0% of weight, there suggested to maintain the weight addition and condition score.
