ANTIBACTERIAL EFFICACY OF TAIL GRAPE LOTION: A TRADITIONAL AYURVEDIC FORMULATION AND EVALUATION WITH THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL IN ECZEMA

ABSTRACT
A traditional Ayurvedic formulations like, lotion, gel, ointment, creams have been employed for centuries in treating various skin ailments, including eczema. This study aimed to prepared and standardized the lotion to investigate the anti-bacterial efficacy, exploring its potential in eczema management. Plant materials (tail grape) were collected, authenticated, and extracted using solvents by maceration method. Antibacterial property was evaluated against common skin pathogens. The lotion demonstrated significant anti-bacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Clinical evaluation will be done for further studies as a remarkable improvement in eczema symptoms, with significant reductions in inflammation, itching, and skin lesions. This study provides evidence for the phytochemical richness and anti-bacterial efficacy of tail grape, validating its traditional use in eczema treatment. The lotion's therapeutic potential, coupled with its natural composition, renders it a promising complementary remedy for eczema management. Overall, the research provides a comprehensive overview of the use of tail grape highlighting the potential for further studies are warranted to explore its mechanisms of action and miraculous potential applications in medicines using in other skin disease. This ongoing research study demonstrates the potential of the developed herbal lotion as an effective antibacterial agent. Further studies are warranted to optimize the formulation, evaluate its safety and efficacy in clinical settings, and explore its potential applications in wound care and skin infections.
