ABSTRACT
As awareness grows concerning natural and safe feminine hygiene options, there is rising interest in herbal alternatives that promote intimate health without adverse effects. This study examines the formulation and characterization of a novel herbal intimate toner that includes Aloe vera, cucumber juice, lemongrass, rosemary, peppermint, tulsi extract, and lactic acid. These components were chosen for their established antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, soothing, and pH-balancing effects. Extraction process performed by maceration of the crude ingredients then prepared toner by simple mixing method. The developed toner was assessed for various physicochemical properties such as pH, skin irritation, clarity, and stability, along with microbial analysis and skin compatibility testing. Findings revealed that the toner preserved an ideal pH suitable for the vaginal environment, demonstrated remarkable stability, and showed antimicrobial efficacy against prevalent urogenital pathogens. The blend of herbal extracts and lactic acid aids in sustaining the natural acidic pH while providing a refreshing, protective, and calming effect. This cutting-edge herbal toner offers a promising, safe, and effective solution for daily feminine hygiene needs. The findings indicate that this herbal formulation could serve as a safe and effective substitute for traditional intimate care products, providing women with a refreshing and calming experience. This study adds to the increasing evidence in favor of herbal remedies for feminine care, emphasizing the significance of natural components in enhancing women's health and overall well-being.
