ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology has emerged as a transformative force in conservative dentistry and endodontics, offering innovative solutions to enhance the efficacy and precision of dental treatments In conservative dentistry, nanotechnology is utilized to develop advanced materials with superior properties for restorative procedures. Nanocomposites, for instance, offer enhanced mechanical strength, improved wear resistance, and better aesthetic integration with natural tooth structures. In endodontics, nanotechnology contributes to improved cleaning and disinfection of root canals. Nanoparticles and nanoscale agents enhance the efficacy of endodontic irrigants by penetrating microstructures and eliminating bacterial biofilms more effectively than conventional methods. The integration of nanotechnology in conservative dentistry and endodontics represents a significant advancement, offering potential benefits such as increased longevity of dental restorations, enhanced precision in treatments, and improved patient outcomes.
