FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF ANTI-BACTERIAL HERBAL CREAM FROM KIWI FRUIT, POMEGRANATE PEELS AND ASHAWGANDHA ROOT

ABSTRACT
The goal of this study was to create an poly herbal cream by combining the ethanolic extract of Actinidia chinensis /Actinidia deliciosa with pomegranate peels to provide multipurpose skin effects such as antibacterial properties. In the world, there are so many medicinal plants are available and they have beneficial to human and animals. pomegranate and kiwi fruits peels investigated as antimicrobial, antibacterial and antioxidant property. The pomegranate, kiwi and ashwagandha root were extracted using the maceration method in different solvents like ethanol, methanol, water, acetone. Combining herbal extracts may enhance therapeutic effects compared to individual extracts. This study aims to formulate and evaluate a topical herbal cream with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing attributes against microorganisms. Various parameters such as organoleptic properties, loss on drying, pH, diffusion study, stability study, spreadability, viscosity, consistency, and homogeneity are scrutinized for the herbal cream. The purpose of this study was to develop poly-herbal cream by mixing the extract of Punica granatum and kiwi fruits, ashwagandha root as the main ingredient, and then creams were developed based on the antimicrobial ability of herbal extracts and performed their evaluation study.
