ABSTRACT
The tibial nerve is one of the terminal branches of the sciatic nerve. It travels on the posterior aspect of the leg and terminates under the flexor retinaculum. Here it is present in an osseofibrous tunnel, in this tunnel it might be entrapped and the condition is known as known as tarsal tunnel syndrome1. In the present study, we will provide knowledge of the arrangement of structures in the tarsal tunnel and will also study the various points of termination of the tibial nerve.
