ABSTRACT
Digital health technologies have revolutionized the field of clinical trials by offering innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and patient engagement. This review article aims to provide and overview of the role and impact of digital health technologies in clinical trials. The article explores various digital health tools and platforms, including mobile apps, wearable devices, remote monitoring systems and electronic health records, and discuss their potential benefits in terms of data collection, patient recruitment and retention, real-time monitoring and adherence to protocol. Furthermore, the challenges associated with implementing Digital Health Technologies in clinical trials are also addressed, such as data security and privacy concerns, regulatory considerations, and technological limitations. The review concludes by highlighting the future prospects and implications of Digital Health Technologies in shaping the landscape of clinical trials, including the potential for Decentralized trials and personalized medicines.
